SparkInYou.org is a forum that has recently sprung up online. How you may have gotten here is up to you – you might have fallen through to the Sparked side of ZipLok¹⁾; you could have received an anonymous DM on a new messaging service; or perhaps you’ve been determinedly poking around the web, searching for answers about the strange powers no one’s explained to you.

Either way, now that you’re here, you can be assured that this is a safe space. Going by your name and giving your age to other characters is not only encouraged, but has no risks – for the dangers we associate with sharing these details or others like them (for example, the government or non-Sparked outsiders using your information to track you) will not be present in game.

Recently, Marcus – the moderator on the forum – announced the inception of monthly “active hours”: three hours a month of dedicated forum time, where members are encouraged to turn up; hoping to increase the sense of community, and let people really get to know each other. Sessions will reflect this event, with the first session being the first active hours period.

Note: NPCs younger than the PC age limit of 16 will be members of the forum, and we will handle this with care (see Style and Tone regarding romance).

The forum contains several types of pages. You can find more detailed information about the forum’s structure on the Uptime page.

Forum Pages: These are where the bulk of discussion takes place. There are boards for general discussion, and specific conversation, on several topics.

Personal Pages: These are personal pages for each member of the forum. They contain a small bio, and other personal posts the owner wants to put up. They're open to comments from other members, but discussion should stay on topic to the owner of the board.

Direct Messages: It is also possible for users to direct message each other – either one-to-one, or in small groups.

Marcus (he/him, 21): The moderator of the forum. Marcus is, at 21, also one of its more experienced members, and he seems more assured (or reserved) than many, content to provide a place for discussion rather than using the forum to unburden himself.

Aster (they/them, 19): Something of a new face on SparkInYou.org, Aster has mostly been very quiet so far.

Kai (they/them, 20): This Spark covers their bitterness with biting sarcasm and a propensity for puns.

Citrus Boy (he/him, 13 14): A very enthusiastic (and naïve) member of the forum, who wishes to be called by his hero name.
