Marcus Brooke

In the bustle of the lunch hall, a friendly face waves Marcus over to sit with the group.

“So… did you tell them?”

“Yeah, first thing when I got home last night”

“And..?”

“It went well. Really well actually. A few questions about how it worked and things, but generally pretty supportive. A lot better than I was worried it might have gone. It's just nice to have it off my chest, you know? It's been difficult hiding so much of my life from them.”

“Heh, guess you'll just have to find a new excuse for being a teenager ignoring your parents”

“That's true. They've been pestering me about inviting friends over for months. Guess I don't really have an excuse not to any more.”

“I don't know why you were worried in the first place, you always made them sound nice.”

“I guess. It's nice to not have to hid stuff from them anymore really.”

“So, house party at yours this weekend?”

“…I don't think we're quite there yet”
